Unsung Hero

Dominique Dawes flips and turns on the balance beam as she tries not to fall. She made her roundoff layout of the floor and her giant off of the bars. Dominique won an Olympic gold medal with the U.S women gymnastics team as well as an individual bronze medal, becoming the first African American to win an individual medal in women’s gymnastics. One quote that she would always say was “don’t set your goals to be a star, set your goals to be the best you can and go from there.”  Dominique Dawes is a retired gymnastic athlete and she did gymnastics for 10 years of her life. Dominique is known for being a three-time olympian and the first African American to be able to compete in women's gymnastics. She is considered a hero because she has many different traits that define her as a hero. Pros and Cons of Homework

       Do you think students should have homework or should not? Homework has some pros and some cons. Some students love doing homework and some students hate doing homework. Some students like to get homework because they have nothing to do after school and some students don’t have time to do homework because they have stuff to do after school. Some students like to have homework so they can get better at that skill.  There are many pros of homework. Homework helps students improve with their grades, their work and more. Some students want to improve on their work so they can get better grades. Homework helps you learn, and it helps you with life skills. Some homework is useful and some homework isn’t very useful for life skills. It opens a bridge of communication.
